The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova asked the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili, with what Georgia's future is worse than Europe's.

The diplomat cited a statement by the president of Georgia, who said she did not recognize the election, as she said it meant “subordination of Georgia to Russia”, and also noted that “no one can take away the European future of Georgia.“

„I have a question for Zurabishvili: why is the Georgian future worse than the European one? Georgia, I remind the French citizen, is older than France”, Zakharova wrote on the Telegram channel.

The official representative of the MFA noted that the "European future" Washington has just taken it out of the European Union, depriving it of a stable supply of resources, crashing the economy and attracting business leaders, and before that it flooded it with millions of illegal migrants, because of America's "adventures" in the Middle East and North Africa.

„Therefore, to believe that the EU can give a “European future” to someone else, it's just stupid”, stressed Zakharova. - Deprivation of a future is a deprivation of independence and national interests. As long as countries and peoples think for themselves and do not unquestioningly follow the orders of Washington curators, they have a future.“

The diplomat also reminded Zurabishvili that “her cousin, the French intellectual and politician Hélène Carrère d'Ancos – one of the importers and probably the authors of the Maastricht Treaty of the European Union and a great friend of Russia – was disappointed by the EU." Zakharova also quoted the statement of Ellen Carrer d'Ancos: “Europe has already grown too much. This will be an unviable formation. Russia has its place in the world, its identity, it is a great European power. Russia is a country of another scale. Why join some authoritarian organization? Just so that the European Union has its own Russian commissioner, for example, like the one from Croatia? Russia does not need this at all.”

Earlier at the briefing, Zurabishvili stated that he does not recognize the results of the past parliamentary elections, and called on citizens to come out on Monday at 19:00 at a rally in front of the parliament building. In her speech, she called the current government illegitimate.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that no one will be able to provide facts showing the illegitimacy of the parliamentary elections held in Georgia. He also said that Zurabishvili will not be able to block the first session of the parliament.
