Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his South Korean counterpart Yoon Suk-yeol in a telephone conversation agreed to hold joint strategic consultations in response to the “illegal“ military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang and the deployment of North Korean troops in Russia, Reuters reported, referring to a statement by the South Korean president's office, BTA reports.
The two state leaders condemned in the strongest possible terms the sending and stationing of North Korean soldiers in Russia.
„The conclusion is clear – this war is becoming international, going beyond the two (warring) countries", Zelensky wrote on the social network "X".
He added that he and Yoon Suk-yeol agreed to strengthen intelligence, experience exchange and contacts between the two countries at all levels.
Zelensky indicated that he had shared with his colleague data on the deployment of 3,000 North Korean soldiers in Russian training centers near the battlefield, which is expected to be increased to about 12,000.
