Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov vowed today to take revenge after a drone attack that caused a fire at a military academy in Chechnya, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
Ukraine has often attacked Russia with drones in the course of the war, but today's attack is the first against the Republic of Chechnya. So far, there is no comment from Kyiv. "They hit us - we will destroy them," Kadyrov told journalists. “In the nearest future, we will show them such revenge as they have never dreamed of," added the Chechen leader.
Earlier, Kadyrov wrote in “Telegram” that the drone strike caused a fire on the roof of what he said was the empty building of the “University of Special Forces” in the town of Gudermes. Kadyrov is an ardent supporter of Russia's war in Ukraine and has sent Chechen forces to fight at the front, Reuters points out.
