The US said today that it has found a "small number" North Korean soldiers in Russia's Kursk region, on the border with Ukraine, and expressed concern about the possibility that they could be used against Ukrainian troops, Agence France-Presse reported, citing a statement to journalists by Pentagon spokesman General Pat Ryder.
There are "indications that a small number of them are already in Kursk Oblast, with about two thousand more to arrive," Ryder said.
US President Joe Biden said today that Ukraine should retaliate if North Korean troops cross into Ukraine's territory and added that he is concerned about their presence in Russia's Kursk region, Reuters reported.
"I am concerned about that,", Biden said when asked about the presence of North Korean troops in the Kursk region.
"If they cross into Ukraine, yes,", Biden said in response to a question about whether the Ukrainians should strike back.
