We are devastated by the death of three children in the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, announced the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), reported SIR (Servizio Informazione Religiosa).
A woman and her three children were killed in their apartment by a Russian rocket in Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
„Every night children in Ukraine go to sleep with fear and uncertainty as the threat of attacks hangs over them. When not in their beds, children hide in hallways and bomb shelters amid alarms and explosions, hoping to wake up to a peaceful morning with homes intact and families safe, UNICEF said.
In the first 12 days of November, intense and sustained attacks reportedly killed at least four children in Ukraine and injured more than twenty, a UNICEF representative said, stressing that every child killed or injured leaves a deep scar for life in families, friends and communities.
Tragic stories like this have become the norm in Ukraine as Russian attacks on populated areas continue.
„No child should live in constant fear for their safety. Attacks on populated areas must stop and children in Ukraine must be protected wherever they are, UNICEF said.
