Kremlin said today that the strike on the territory of Ukraine with a new type of hypersonic ballistic missile is a warning to the West that Moscow will retaliate against the decisions of The USA and Great Britain to allow Kiev to shoot at Russia with their missiles, reported Reuters.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the remarks a day after President Vladimir Putin said Moscow had fired a new type of missile, called the Oreshnik, at a Ukrainian military facility.
Peskov added that Russia was not required to warn the US of the strike, but specified that it had nevertheless informed the US 30 minutes before the missile was launched.
Putin remains willing to hold a dialogue, Peskov said.
