Sweden has agreed to finance the production of long-range Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles on the "Danish model", Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced during his working visit in Sweden on November 22.
"This is another step towards strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities, which demonstrates the confidence of our partners in our military-industrial potential," Umerov said, emphasizing the importance of this agreement.
The meeting between Umerov and Swedish Defense Minister Pel Jonsson also included a discussion of future financial assistance to Ukraine in 2025.
"We are working to ensure that this support will grow and meet the real needs of our defenders," Umerov added.
The Ukrainian Minister of Defense highlighted the focus on equipping the Ukrainian brigades.
"We are finalizing the agreements with our Scandinavian partners", summarized Umerov.
Earlier, Denmark announced aid in the amount of 137 million. dollars (130 million euros) in support of the Ukrainian defense industry.
