Russian forces carried out a series of attacks last night targeting energy infrastructure in southern Mykolaiv Oblast and industrial sites in Zaporozhye Oblast, Ukrainian authorities said on Monday, as quoted by Reuters.
In Mykolaiv Oblast, engineers restored power to most affected consumers by morning, governor Vitaly Kim confirmed via Telegram. No casualties were reported, and air defenses shot down two drones in the area.
In Zaporozhye region, Russian forces have used "dozens of drones", according to regional governor Ivan Fyodorov. The attack injured a child and damaged several industrial sites and a residential block.
Air defense systems have also repelled a drone attack targeting the Ukrainian capital Kyiv and surrounding areas. Authorities said there were no casualties or significant damage as a result of the attack in the capital.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that Russia has used about 460 drones and more than 20 missiles in attacks against Ukraine over the past week.
