A senior Ukrainian official is visiting the United States to build contacts with the upcoming administration of President-elect Donald Trump, reports "Reuters".
Trump has promised to end Russia's war in Ukraine as soon as he takes office.
The head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak is already in the USA, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sibiga informed in Brussels.
"This contact at the level of the president's chief of staff is very important to establish, among other things, relations with representatives of the new administration," he specified.
Trump has so far avoided detailing his plans to end the 33-month-old military conflict. However, according to three plans presented by people close to him, the long-awaited prospects for Kyiv's membership in NATO fall away.
In addition, Trump's advisers have made proposals providing for major territorial concessions to Moscow, which occupies one-sixth of Ukraine.
