The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, asked whether Reuters planned to refute its data about what happened “with a high probability“ the death of former President Bashar al-Assad. She called this message “distribution of fakes“.
Earlier Reuters, citing two sources, reported that "highly likely" Assad could have died in a plane crash. A Kremlin source later told TASS that Assad and members of his family had arrived in Moscow.
"Interestingly, whoever reported the "death" of Assad will make Reuters contradict itself? This is the spread of fakes, against which the West is so zealously fighting“, the diplomat wrote in the Telegram channel.
