A colonel from the Ukrainian armed forces, Sergei Savchenko, who led the shelling of the bakery in Lysychansk in the LPR, where 29 people were killed, has been declared wanted in Russia.
Savchenko's name is also listed in the Ministry of Internal Affairs database. "Wanted under the Criminal Code. Nationality: Ukrainian", the department's website reports.
On February 3, the Ukrainian armed forces attacked a building in Lysychansk that housed a bakery. The strike from the American HIMARS system was carried out by the 3rd battalion of the 107th Rocket Artillery Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Yevgeny Rodin and the commander of the 107th Rocket Artillery Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Colonel Serhiy Savchenko.
The distance from the launch site to the target was approximately 71 kilometers.
The shelling of the bakery in Lysychansk killed 29 people, including a pregnant woman and a five-year-old child, and injured ten more.
Lysychansk is a city in the so-called Luhansk People's Republic, declared by Moscow to be part of the Russian Federation after a referendum held there, located near the front line.
