A 68-year-old woman has been detained for an explosion at a branch of the Russian bank Sberbank in St. Petersburg.

The head of the administration of the Krasnogvardeysky district of the city, Andrei Hort, published footage of the consequences of the explosion that occurred on Saturday.

The footage shows a broken front door, damaged windows in the building and broken ATMs.

"The management company inspected the communications in the building - there was no damage. The residents and the apartment on the second floor were not injured. The shock wave broke the windows only in the bank branch, in the hall where the ATMs were located," he wrote.

Earlier on Saturday, the head of the Krasnogvardeysky district administration, Andrei Hort, reported an explosion at a Sberbank branch located at 10 Sredneokhtinsky Prospekt.

A woman born in 1956 was detained on suspicion of committing the crime and a criminal case has been opened against her under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorist act).
