A passenger plane skidded off the runway at Muan International Airport, South Korea, and crashed, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA, citing Yonhap news agency.
There were a total of 175 passengers and six crew members on board. According to the information available so far, 28 of those on board died in the crash.
After leaving the runway, the plane hit a wall, the South Korean agency reports.
According to rescue services and local media, cited by the Associated Press, the cause of the crash was damage to the plane's landing gear.
Rescue team representatives said that after the impact, a fire broke out on board, which was extinguished.
The plane of the airline "Jeju Air" (Jeju Air) was operating a flight from Bangkok.
