The Russian military still needs to capture four settlements in the so-called Luhansk People's Republic in order to gain full control over the territory of the region, military expert Andrey Marochko reported.

These are Novolyubovka, Novoyegorovka, Petrovskoye and Belogorovka.

"Petrovskoye has very difficult terrain, but the dynamics that are happening in Makeyevka and Nevsky facilitate the advance towards Petrovskoye and give reason to say that this settlement will be captured soon. In Novolyubovka, the enemy feels quite uncomfortable, as there is pressure from our troops,“ he said.

Marochko reported that in the vicinity of Novolyubovka, Russian forces have taken up positions from which they can “constantly inflict fire damage, keeping Ukrainian fighters under control“.

“There is also positive dynamics near Belogorovka: our troops have begun to bypass some positions of Ukrainian fighters, as they are located in high places and it is very difficult to push them out of there,“ the agency's source noted.

Marochko added that Ukrainian troops “with their strikes, have almost completely destroyed” the infrastructure of the settlement of Nadiya in the LPR, which was captured by the Russians on Saturday.

“There are currently quite fierce battles taking place right below Nadiya – in Novoyegorovka. This settlement is partly under our control, partly under Ukrainian fighters, but there are still battles going on here and it is still too early to say that the enemy will leave the settlement soon, although the situation is developing very quickly,“ said the expert.
