Four people were injured in a Russian airstrike on Kharkiv last night. The strike caused a fire on the territory of a private enterprise and damaged residential buildings, Ukrainian authorities said, as quoted by Reuters and Ukrinform. Kharkiv has been under continuous Russian shelling since the beginning of the war.
A 62-year-old woman was hospitalized and a 66-year-old man was injured by falling debris from a downed Russian drone, which also caused material damage to several residential buildings in the Kharkiv region (the area around the city - ed.), the Kharkiv regional administration said.
Shortly after midnight, emergency services were called to the territory of a private enterprise where a fire broke out in a Russian drone attack, the Telegram app reported. Mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov.
According to emergency services, the flames have engulfed industrial buildings. Two people are in a state of severe shock, including a child, they added.
It is not yet clear what kind of building is burning.
Video footage shows large columns of smoke coming out of a building that looks like an industrial site.
There has been no comment from Russia so far. Both sides deny attacking civilians in the nearly three-year-long war that began with Moscow's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
Two women and two men were injured in Russian attacks on Zaporizhia region in southeastern Ukraine, regional governor Ivan Fyodorov announced on "Telegram". In the last 24 hours, Russia has carried out 362 strikes on settlements in the region, he added.
Russia also attacked the Black Sea port of Odessa with drones. Damage was caused to residential buildings and cars.
