Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu announced today that "a large concern" will move its factory from Bulgaria to Romania. He also said that there will be talks with the heads of some large American investment funds that are interested in Romania, reported Digi 24 TV.

"Attracting important foreign investments is a priority this year. I am glad that yesterday a foreign concern announced the relocation of its factory from Bulgaria to Romania. Every investor won is important for the economy," Ciolacu pointed out at the beginning of a government meeting.

According to the publication "Economics", this is the British-Dutch consumer goods manufacturer "Unilever" (Unilever), which will close its ice cream factory in Veliko Tarnovo and the production will be moved to Romania, the television notes.

"Ekonomika" indicates that "Unilever" plans to close its "Denny" ice cream factory in Veliko Tarnovo and move production to the "Betty Ice" factory in the northeastern Romanian city of Suceava, in which the multinational company has invested 16 million euros and which produces 17 million liters of ice cream annually. The information was confirmed to the publication by representatives of "Unilever".
