US President Donald Trump has repeated his call for Canada to become the 51st US state, Agence France-Presse reported. He made this call a day after he imposed tariffs on Canadian imports, thus provoking a trade war, BTA reports.
On his social network “Truth Social“ today, Trump recalled that the US has a trade deficit with Canada and said that Canada should become “our dear 51st state“, which would mean that Canadians would have much lower taxes and much better military protection, and there would be no tariffs.
Trump wrote the latter in capital letters, as he is accustomed to doing.
