Russia reserves right to "symmetrical response" to Ukrainian attacks on Russian energy facilities, the Russian Foreign Ministry said, quoted by Reuters and TASS, BTA reported.
Yesterday, Russia and Ukraine exchanged accusations that they blew up a Russian gas pumping station in the border area in the Kursk region, from where Ukrainian troops are withdrawing. Russia has repeatedly attacked Ukrainian energy infrastructure during the three-year war, and Ukraine has also struck energy facilities in Russia.
“It is clear that with such actions the Ukrainian government once again demonstrates its complete disagreement and lack of desire to achieve peace“, said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
“As in 2022, provocations are once again being used to disrupt the negotiation process. We clearly warn that if the Kiev regime continues its destructive line, the Russian Federation reserves the right to respond, including with a symmetrical response“, she added.
