US President Donald Trump was unhappy with his portrait in the Colorado State Capitol building, he said on his social network Truth Social.
The American leader felt that his image was greatly "distorted". He called for the painting to be removed and criticized the artist of the work, Sarah Boardman. Trump said that "she must have lost her talent with age".
Earlier, the US President's envoy for the Middle East, Stephen Witkoff, said that Russian President Vladimir Putin had given Trump a portrait of the American leader by a leading Russian artist. Witkoff stressed that Trump was "truly touched" by the gift.
