A fire in the Russian city of Vladivostok burned down 30 cars. The fire covered over 150 sq.m. of a parking lot, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the Primorsky Territory reported.

An unknown person set fire to one of the cars in the parking lot, the press service of the Primorye prosecutor's office reported.

"On the night of March 24, 2025, in the area of house No. 17 on "Nadibaidze" street in the city of Vladivostok, an unidentified person set fire to a car. The fire spread and engulfed 22 nearby cars, which were completely burned out," the department reported.

"The signal was received at 05:27, and at 05:34 firefighters from the Russian Emergencies Ministry were already working on the scene. The large area of the fire, high temperature and strong wind complicated the extinguishing process," the department's press service noted. "When firefighters arrived, the cars were engulfed in flames. The fire destroyed 22 cars on an area of 150 square meters."

It was later reported that the number of burned cars had reached 30.

The fire was localized within an hour and was completely extinguished at 08:01. Experts are establishing the extent of the damage. There were no casualties or injuries.

The press service of the regional police reported that an investigation is underway. "The police are questioning possible eyewitnesses and studying CCTV footage. The circumstances surrounding the incident and the cause of the fire are being established," the regional police department reported.

A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional destruction of property committed on hooligan grounds, by arson, causing significant damage).
