Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov will provide the United States with evidence of Russia's violation of the ceasefire affecting infrastructure facilities, suspilne reports.
The president announced this at a briefing on March 28. According to Zelensky, Umerov will personally travel to the United States and provide all the evidence collected by the State Emergency Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the General Staff, the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine, etc. Zelensky also said that the US is already considering some countries to closely monitor the ceasefire.
"The US side will hold internal consultations, then it will hold consultations with both Saudi Arabia and Turkey, as well as with some European countries regarding their readiness to carry out monitoring“, the Ukrainian head said.
According to Zelensky, a ceasefire is generally impossible without monitoring. The media recall that Russia announced a "ceasefire from March 18" - the day of the negotiations between Ukraine and the US.
Zelensky also added that Ukraine will receive expanded access to reconnaissance satellites of European partner countries. This agreement was reached during a meeting of the "coalition of the willing".
"We agreed on licenses for the production of air defense systems. "We are working on obtaining licenses for the production of artillery," he notes.
During the negotiations in Saudi Arabia, the American delegation separately agreed with the Ukrainian and Russian sides to exclude the "use of force" against merchant ships in the Black Sea. An agreement was also concluded at that time to develop a mechanism to prohibit attacks on energy infrastructure in Ukraine and Russia.
