The ceasefire announced by Moscow on the occasion of Easter, which did not lead to a cessation of hostilities in Ukraine, is a ruse to avoid the danger of Donald Trump "losing patience", said the head of European diplomacy Kaia Kallas, quoted by Agence France-Presse, BTA reports.
"They did not respect the truce. It is clear that Russia is playing games, trying to buy time and does not really want peace", she stressed in an interview with AFP.
The United States has other options, the European diplomat noted. "They have the means at their disposal to put real pressure on Russia" in the ceasefire negotiations.
"Why don't they use all means to really end this war?", she asked.
