Two people, including a five-year-old girl, died when a car crashed into a barrier at the entrance to Terminal 1 of the “Ninoy Aquino“ International Airport in Manila. This was reported by the news channel ABS-CBN News.
According to the Philippine National Police, the driver of a Ford Everest crashed into the airport building after dropping off a passenger after another car suddenly appeared in front of him, causing him to lose control of the vehicle, confusing the gas and brake pedals.
Three people were injured and hospitalized in the accident. “The injured people are currently receiving treatment. “The driver involved in the incident has been detained by police,” said Transport Minister Vivencio Dizon.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the incident. There are no reports of any restrictions on airport operations.
