A window of opportunity is opening for progress on the path to peace between Ukraine and Russia. Results can be achieved within the next two weeks. This was announced by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in a comment to Anadolu Agency.

"I think there is an opportunity now – this week, and also in the next 10 days or two weeks – "really bring the whole Ukraine issue to a more favorable level," Rutte emphasized.

According to him, progress can be achieved under the leadership of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as with the active participation of the US government.

The Secretary-General also emphasizes that Turkey also plays an important role in resolving Russia's war against Ukraine.

Rutte announced a window of opportunity for progress on the path to peace between Ukraine and Russia yesterday, May 13, after a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Negotiations in Istanbul
