The Russian delegation is waiting for the Ukrainians in Istanbul. This was stated by the spokesman of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, Sky News reports.
"We do not know how the negotiations will go... we have to wait and see how they will go and everyone will be ready to make every effort to ensure that they are productive", he said.
Peskov was also asked if there was a chance that Russian President Vladimir Putin would participate in future negotiations.
"What additional participation will be needed, at what level - it is too early to say now, because we do not know whether the Ukrainian negotiators will appear or not and how the negotiations will go", he added.
"The Russian delegation is ready and waiting in Istanbul."
He added that there were currently no preparations for a meeting between the Russian and American presidents in the coming days.
