Iran announced that it had executed the perpetrator of a deadly attack carried out in 2023 on the territory of the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran, which caused tension between the two neighboring countries, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reported.
"The law of retaliation was applied this morning against the attacker of the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran", the judiciary announced this morning.
The expression is generally used for the death penalty, AFP notes.
