The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) said its agents detained a suspect this morning after a fight outside the intelligence agency's headquarters, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
A CIA spokesman confirmed that security officers "engaged in a face-to-face fight" outside the agency's main entrance in Langley, Virginia, and added that the suspect had been detained.
The spokesman declined to say whether the suspect sustained gunshot wounds or provide any other details.
A reporter for "NBC News" reported that a person had been shot.
The shooting happened around 4 a.m. local time (11 a.m. Eastern time), a police spokesman said. It comes after two employees of the Israeli embassy in Washington were shot dead last night. There is no indication that the two incidents are connected, Reuters notes.
