The Ukrainian authorities are not responding to Moscow's readiness to resume the dialogue launched in 2022 to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov said today, quoted by TASS and Reuters.
"Russia has repeatedly expressed readiness to resume the dialogue launched in 2022 with the Ukrainian side to resolve the conflict. "It has observed the moratorium on strikes on energy facilities announced in March," Belousov said at a meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek.
Russian forces are advancing almost along the entire front line in Ukraine, Belousov said.
According to the Russian Defense Minister, NATO is using the situation in Ukraine to strengthen its presence in Eastern Europe and the Baltic region.
The minister said the West still wants to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia.
