Germany will pay for a significant part of the satellite coverage of Elon Musk's internet system - "Starlink" - over Ukraine, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said today, quoted by Ukrinform, during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, BTA reported.
"In this context (the continuation of military aid to Ukraine – ed.), I would like to emphasize a new element - we will finance a significant part of the coverage of the "Starlink" system in Ukraine," Merz said.
According to him, Germany will expand its military support for Ukraine.
The Ukrainian president arrived in Berlin today for a visit, where he held talks with the German Chancellor. Later, the two will meet with representatives of German business, and in the evening, Zelensky will talk with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the "Bellevue" Palace.
