US Immigration and Customs Enforcement is preparing to send rapid response units to five Democratic-led cities, NBC reported.
"According to the TV station, authorities have ordered rapid response units to be sent to Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York and the Northern Virginia area," NBC reported.
The sources did not say whether the service plans to start raids in those cities immediately, but all units in the areas in question have been ordered to be on full alert.
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement's rapid response teams are units with armored cars and other vehicles funds.
Earlier, raids by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Los Angeles sparked a wave of protests across California, as well as in neighboring states and major cities across the country.
Opponents of Trump's policies plan to hold nationwide protests on Saturday as part of the "No to Kings" campaign. Organizers said in a statement that more than 200 activist groups in more than 1,500 cities across the state would join the protests.
Trump accused the protesters of hating the United States.
