US President Donald Trump on Monday urged Iran to make a deal on its nuclear program and said Tehran still had time to prevent further conflict with Israel, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"I told Iran to make a deal, but no matter how hard they tried, no matter how close they came to a deal, they just couldn't do it", Trump wrote on the social network "Truth Social".
"There has already been a lot of death and destruction, but there is still time to end this massacre, which will become even more brutal with the next attacks already planned", he added he.
"Iran must make a deal before all is lost and preserve what was once known as the Iranian Empire," the US president stressed.
Israel struck the Islamic Republic last night, saying that the targets of the attacks were nuclear sites, ballistic missile factories and military commanders. Israel said the aim of the operation was to prevent Tehran from developing nuclear weapons.
