Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in a televised address that Israel will not get away with it after yesterday's strikes on Iranian territory, IRNA reported, quoted by BTA.
Khamenei said that the Iranian armed forces will render "the Israeli regime helpless". He added that Iran would act without compromise.
Shortly before the speech, Iranian media reported new explosions in and around Tehran and other cities in the country.
Eighteen people were killed and 35 were wounded in Israeli strikes on Iran today, which hit sites in the northwest of the country, Iran's IRNA news agency reported, citing local authorities.
Israel launched a massive overnight attack on Iran, saying it had struck nuclear sites, ballistic missile factories and military commanders. The military operation was aimed at preventing Tehran from developing nuclear weapons.
