Iran may suspend IAEA inspections of its nuclear facilities that are not covered by the safeguards agreement related to the Non-Proliferation Treaty, said Ebrahim Azizi, the chairman of Iran's Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee.
“Any inspection that goes beyond the scope of the [agreement on] safeguards must be suspended,“ he said on state television. According to Azizi, members of the committee have prepared a letter to Iranian authorities in which they stressed the need to limit IAEA inspections of the republic's nuclear facilities.
