The idea of the war between Israel and Iran is who will last longer in it. In recent hours, the emphasis has been on who supports whom and whether the governments that are at war with each other are supported by their citizens. This was stated by Arabist Prof. Vladimir Chukov to bTV.
According to him, Israeli society is homogeneous and stands behind its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. What impresses Prof. Chukov is that retired generals explain how the military operation against Iran could have been done better. On the other side, in Iran, they wave flags and say that they are behind the leaders, but the Spider's Web tactic will be applied - a strike on the vital points of water, electricity, economy, gas. The idea is which of the two countries will last longer, commented Prof. Vladimir Chukov.
According to him, Israel is 75 times smaller than Iran in terms of territory. As of today at noon, about 200 missiles have been fired in the war between the two countries. There is no one behind Iran - neither Russia nor China. If Israel stops striking, Iran will stop too. When the Iranians finish their strikes, then they will be ready to sit at the negotiating table, said Professor Vladimir Chukov.
He is of the opinion that Washington's support is not behind Israel either.
