Iran has threatened to “give an even more devastating response to the ongoing Israeli aggression against its territory“, Agence France-Presse reported, quoting Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian, BTA reported.
“Our response to the ongoing aggression by the Zionist regime will be even more devastating”, Pezeshkian said during a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, IRNA reported.
Pezeshkian added that his country will refuse to stop its nuclear activities regardless of the circumstances.
“We are ready to discuss and cooperate to build trust in the field of peaceful nuclear activities, but we do not "We agree to reduce our nuclear activities to zero, whatever the circumstances," the Iranian leader said during his conversation with Macron.
He told his French counterpart that his country has the right to carry out peaceful nuclear activities and this right cannot be taken away through war.
"Iran has always stated that it is ready to provide guarantees and establish trust regarding its peaceful nuclear activities within the framework of international law," Pezeshkian said.
"The rights granted to countries and nations by international law cannot be taken away through threats or through war," he added.
