The US strike on Iran's underground uranium enrichment facility in Fordow will not result in radiation release or a nuclear explosion, the American television channel NBC News reported, citing nuclear safety experts.
According to them, the strike most likely injured employees of the facility, but the attack will not cause a “nuclear explosion, large-scale release of radiation or chemicals“. This could have happened if the Fordow facility contained nuclear reactors or warheads, but international observers and experts believe that this is not the case, the channel explains.
Israel received advance notice from the United States about the planned strikes on Iranian facilities, an Israeli official told the television channel ABC News.
