Russia launches massive drone strikes in Ukraine: 15 injured and power outage - 1

About 15 people were injured overnight in Ukraine in a large-scale Russian attack with nearly 400 drones, which caused a power outage, Ukrainian authorities announced, quoted by Agence France-Presse, BTA reports.

The new powerful strikes came after US President Donald Trump gave Moscow 50 days to reach a peace deal with Ukraine, warning of tough new sanctions if it failed.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched around 400 drones overnight with explosives and multiple decoys, of which 198 were shot down and 145 missed their targets.

The main targets were the second largest city of Kharkiv, the hometown of President Volodymyr Zelensky, Krivoy Rog and Vinnytsia. The strikes hit industrial facilities and residential buildings.

Zelensky said that 15 people were injured in the attacks and the power supply was cut off.

A woman was killed and five people were injured in morning Russian artillery strikes on the city of Nikopol, the emergency service on Telegram reported.

For several weeks, Russia has been stepping up missile and drone strikes on Ukraine, using hundreds of drones and missiles produced by the military industry, which is working at full speed.

At the same time, Russian forces, which occupy nearly 20% of Ukrainian territory, are continuing their offensive against the Ukrainian army, which is experiencing a serious shortage of fighters and weapons, according to Agence France-Presse.

Meanwhile, yesterday in Russia, a Ukrainian drone attack over the city of Voronezh, about 200 km from the Ukrainian border, killed one person, the governor of region Alexander Gusev in Telegram.
