Peace talks with Russia need "more dynamics", Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in "Ex", adding that he asked the previous Defense Minister Rustem Umerov "to speed up the process", BTA reported.
The two discussed "the work of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, as well as personal tasks in the field of defense and negotiations".
"First of all, we continue to work with partners on arms agreements. "We must fully implement every agreement with our partners on the supply of weapons, as well as new special agreements on the creation of joint production and the construction of production facilities on the territory of partners," the Ukrainian president noted.
Secondly, it is necessary to analyze "the implementation of decisions adopted by the SNSO and the Headquarters, to fulfill what has been delayed, and to significantly strengthen the form of the Technological Headquarters," he added.
Thirdly, it is necessary to "acquire the negotiation process. The implementation of the agreements of the second meeting in Istanbul is underway. This process needs more dynamics," Zelensky emphasized.
Previously, the Ukrainian president appointed Umerov as Secretary of the SNSO.
