The European Commission has prepared a new document through which the process of obtaining and extending Schengen visas for Turkish citizens will be facilitated, Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announced, quoted by the Yeni Şafak newspaper, BTA reported.
“The European Commission has prepared a new document to facilitate and accelerate (the process related to) Schengen visas for Turkish citizens, and it has already been sent to EU member states“, Bolat announced today, emphasizing that this step will be “extremely useful“ for citizens who have already received visas in the past.
According to “Yeni Şafak“ Thanks to the new document, Turkish citizens who have used their previous visas in accordance with the rules will be able to more easily obtain a short-term multiple-entry visa to Schengen countries, including Bulgaria.
The new document does not affect people who apply for a visa for professional reasons, such as truck drivers, the publication notes.
