VMRO-DPMNE MP: Bulgarian services are conducting a coordinated operation against Prime Minister Mickoski

A VMRO-DPMNE MP said that Bulgarian services are trying to discredit North Macedonia, BNR reported.

MP and member of the Executive Committee of the ruling VMRO-DPMNE party in North Macedonia Mile Lefkov said that Bulgarian services and their associates in North Macedonia are conducting a coordinated operation against the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia Hristijan Mickoski, the government and the state, MIA news agency reports.

According to him, the operation uses classic hybrid methods - spreading false information, fabricated affairs, forged documents, personal and family discrediting, use of human tragedies and economic insinuations.

All these activities, which are intensifying after every failure of Bulgarian diplomacy in European institutions, are led by a network of media portals in Bulgaria, behind which stand structures of Bulgarian services and circles close to nationalist parties, Mile Lefkov points out and specifically lists several Bulgarian portals, which, according to him, produce fake news on a daily basis.

The MP and member of the Executive Committee of the ruling party in North Macedonia points out that this coordinated operation has no ideological basis, but is motivated by revanchism.

Lefkov calls on the public in North Macedonia, the media and institutions to realize the seriousness of this operation.

"This is not a battle against a party, this is an unsuccessful attack against Macedonian identity, sovereignty and the right to an independent foreign policy", he points out.
