The logic of the Moscow bandits is as follows - they bomb Ukraine, but explain to the world that they want to negotiate. This was stated to OBOZ.ua by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Volodymyr Ogryzko.
This is how he commented on the upcoming round of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. The Ukrainian diplomat is not optimistic, because he knows the Russian tactics of negotiations well. Moscow will not stop the strikes on Ukraine under any circumstances, but only throws dust in the eyes of the world that it is ready for peace.
„Trump has a simple but false logic in his head: if the Russians sit down at the negotiating table, the war will automatically end. But this is an illusion. This is a deep misunderstanding of the essence of what Russia wants,“ said Ogryzko.
He explained why Putin will not stop the strikes on Ukraine: “As soon as a ceasefire is achieved, NATO troops can immediately appear on the territory of Ukraine. And this means the end of any Russian plans. And Putin cannot allow this“.
Volodymyr Ogryzko recalled that Putin understands only the language of force and only in this way can Russia be forced to negotiate. “The best “sanction“ against Moscow is the latest weapons for Ukraine. And not symbolic, but in large, sufficient quantities to put real pressure on Russia“, said the experienced Ukrainian diplomat.
Ogryzko stated that Ukraine does not receive weapons to win the war against the Russian aggressor, but only such weapons so as not to lose it.
“Biden provided us with a lot of help - and I am sincerely grateful to him. But he did not give it so that we could win, but only so that we would not lose. And if Trump breaks this system, then we will really get a chance. Because otherwise we only have promises. Here is an example: they declare 17 “Patriot“ systems. And Germany says: “We will send one in six months“. So where are the other 16? Where is the help we are talking about?“, Ogryzko said.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said earlier today that there is no reason to expect miracles in the third round of direct Russian-Ukrainian peace talks, TASS reported. "Let's be frank. The issue of the Ukrainian settlement is so complex that reaching agreements on the exchange (of prisoners of war) or the return of the bodies of the dead is already a result," Peskov said. "Of course, there is no reason to expect any breakthroughs from the category of miracles. This is hardly possible in the current situation," he added.
