Vladimir Putin curses the day he attacks Ukraine because he realized that he cannot win this war. This was stated to OBOZ.ua by activist German Obukhov, founder of the “Stop Russian Terror“ foundation.
At the same time, Putin cannot stop the war and is at an impasse, Obukhov said: “Putin will continue this war to the end, it has become a paradigm for Russia. Without it, Russia can no longer live. Either a victory that is impossible to achieve, or death“.
The analyst said that a meeting between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky is possible, but only under one condition – to sign the surrender of Ukraine.
Putin will not agree to fly to Istanbul for a meeting with Zelensky unless a document is put on the table by which Ukraine will hand over four regions to Russia, Obukhov believes. But Kiev will not agree to such a thing, and therefore such a meeting is impossible.
„In reality, this is a stalemate. Ukraine cannot agree to what Russia wants, and Russia will not give up its demands. Therefore, all these talks in Istanbul lead to nothing“, Obukhov said.
„I am convinced that until Europe starts talking about neo-Nazism and neo-fascism in Russia, nothing will happen. But Europe is not ready for this. It is still trading billions of dollars with Russia“, said the activist, a political prisoner in the USSR from 1981 to 1987.
Obukhov is categorical: the war will continue indefinitely until Europe understands that there is neo-fascism, neo-Nazism in Russia. At the same time, he pointed out that no one will start a nuclear war, because that would be suicide.
