At least 11 people were injured with a knife at a supermarket from the “Walmart“ chain in Traverse City in the US state of Michigan on Saturday, the Associated Press reported, quoted by BTA.
Authorities said that the attacker has been detained.
The injured have been hospitalized.
The Michigan State Police reported that the local sheriff's office is investigating the incident. Police have urged residents to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
Traverse City is located about 255 miles northwest of Detroit.
