An EasyJet passenger flying from Luton Airport to Glasgow was detained after threatening to detonate a bomb due to dissatisfaction with the policies of US President Donald Trump, who is currently on a visit to Scotland.
This is reported by The Sun newspaper, citing eyewitnesses.
The incident occurred on the morning of July 27. According to witnesses, one of the passengers came out of the toilet and started shouting "Allahu Akbar", after which he said that "he has a bomb" and that he wanted to "send a signal to Trump". Passengers knocked the man to the floor and defused. Flight attendants then checked his luggage and found nothing suspicious.
According to preliminary data, the 41-year-old man is an Indian citizen and lives in the UK as a refugee. The plane eventually landed at its destination, where the problematic passenger was detained by police.
