Russia fired at least one hypersonic missile „Dagger“ at a target in western Ukraine overnight, with the Ukrainian Air Force saying the strike was likely aimed at the „Starokonstantinov“ airbase, the DPA agency reported, BTA reports.

According to initial reports, there were no injuries, Khmelnytskyi Oblast Governor Serhiy Tyurin informed on „Telegram“.

Residents of Kiev reported hearing several hypersonic missiles pass over the capital. Early this morning, air raid sirens were activated three times across the country, after as Russia launched MiG-31K fighters – carrying “Dagger“ missiles.

At noon, the Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that at least one such missile had been launched. In addition, Russia attacked Ukraine with 162 drones last night. Almost all of them were intercepted or diverted using electronic warfare systems, Ukrainian authorities claim.

Debris from destroyed drones caused fires in nine places – mainly in the Odessa region and on the outskirts of Kiev. According to local authorities, three of the fires were quickly brought under control, but more than 10 buildings were damaged.

Meanwhile, Russian media reported that a Ukrainian drone had caused a fire at a railway station in Russia's Volgograd region.
