A ship sailing from Bulgaria suffered engine failure in the Dardanelles Strait, connecting the Sea of Marmara and the Aegean Sea in Turkey, Turkish private television NTV reported, quoted by BTA.
The 78-meter ship "IRONHIDE" was sailing from Bulgaria to Israel when it crashed near Cape Karanfil in the Turkish Strait area. The vessel was towed by two tugboats under the coordination of the Vessel Traffic Service Center in the Canakkale District.
The ship is currently safely anchored at the port of Karanluk.
