Moscow does not rule out that Kiev will resort to provocations and terrorist attacks to aggravate the situation before the meeting between Russian and American leaders Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador for crimes of the Kiev regime Rodion Miroshnik.

By increasing the number of attacks on civilian targets, Kiev demonstrates its attitude to the upcoming talks between Putin and Trump“, the diplomat wrote in his Telegram channel. “We do not rule out the use of terrorist attacks and provocations to sharpen the information agenda around the conflict.“

Earlier, the US president said he was counting on a meeting with his Russian counterpart in Alaska on August 15. Plans for the talks were then confirmed by the Russian leader's aide, Yuri Ushakov. According to him, Putin and Trump “will undoubtedly focus on discussing options for achieving a long-term peaceful settlement to the Ukrainian crisis“. The Kremlin expects the next meeting of the two presidents to be held on Russian territory, Ushakov stressed.
