The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaia Kalas, said today that the EU will work on the 19th package of sanctions against Russia and called for no more concessions to be made to Moscow, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
In a publication on the "Ex" platform she informed that the foreign ministers of the European Union today expressed support for the steps of the United States, which will lead to a just peace in Ukraine.
"Given that at this stage Russia has not agreed to a full and unconditional ceasefire, we should not even discuss any concessions", said Kallas in a statement.
"The sequence of steps is important. First - an unconditional ceasefire with a reinforced monitoring system and ironclad security guarantees", she stressed, indicating that the EU will work on the 19th package of sanctions.
On July 18 this year, the twenty-seven member states of the European Union reached an agreement on the eighteenth package of sanctions against Russia over its war in Ukraine, after the package was blocked for weeks by Slovakia.
