Former CEO of PJSC „Uralkali“ and former deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Perm Territory Dmitry Osipov has died at the age of 59.
Osipov was CEO of PJSC „Uralkali“ from 2013 to 2020, and was also a member of the board of the International Fertilizer Association (IFA), devoting more than 20 years to the development of the industry. "Uralkali" is a Russian producer and exporter of potash fertilizers. The company's assets consist of 5 mines and 7 ore dressing plants located in the cities of Berezniki and Solikamsk. The company employs about 12,000 people.
„His knowledge of the chemical industry, his extensive experience in organizing production activities and his mastery of modern management technologies allowed him to bring the company to a qualitatively new level of development.“ „His strategic vision and ability to foresee the prospects for the development of the industry allowed the company not only to maintain its production capacity in difficult economic conditions, but also to master the production of new types of products and create additional jobs“, the company noted, adding that Osipov participates in charity projects, supports educational, health and sports institutions.
He was born in 1966. He graduated from the Faculty of Radiophysics and Cybernetics of Gorky State University. Since the mid-1990s, he has held leadership positions in large chemical companies: OJSC „Khimprom“ (Volgograd), OJSC „Sibur-Khimprom“, from 2005 to 2007 he was the General Director of OJSC „Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Plant“, until 2011 he headed OJSC „UCC Uralhim“, from 2011 to 2013 he was the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of OJSC „UCC Uralhim“. From December 2013 to December 2020 Osipov was the General Director of OJSC. Uralkali, and in January 2021 he became the General Director of PJSC „Corporation VSMPO-AVISMA“.
Osipov was a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Perm Territory. For his significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the region, he was awarded a letter of appreciation from the President of the Russian Federation, a medal "For Services to the Perm Territory" and a letter of appreciation from the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
