Alternative for Germany creates new youth organization - 1

The German far-right party "Alternative for Germany" (AfG) has confirmed its plans to create a new youth organization, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.

The establishment is planned for the end of November in the city of Giessen, north of Frankfurt. A party spokesman confirmed that the founding meeting is planned for November 29 and 30. It will elect the board of directors of the new organization and determine the name and logo, he said.

The previous youth wing of the anti-immigrant party "Young Alternative" (MA) was largely an independent association. It was dissolved at the end of March following a decision by the AfG party conference.

The plan to establish a new organization was justified by the party's desire to gain greater influence over young people.

There were also concerns that the MA could be banned after German intelligence services found evidence of anti-democratic aspirations and classified it as a right-wing extremist organization.

It is assumed that in the future the successor organization will be more closely linked to the AfG.

The newspaper "Bild" reported that Jean-Pascal Homme, a member of the Brandenburg state parliament from the AfG, is being considered for the leadership of the new organization.

On the social platform "Ex" The chairman of the AfG in the state of Brandenburg and member of the Bundestag, René Springer, spoke in favor of placing Homm at the head of the new organization.
